The government of Maharashtra, supported by GAME, launched the Maharashtra State Entrepreneurship Mission (MSEM).<\/span><\/p>

The Mission was formally launched at hands of the Hon\u2019ble CM in October 2023 with the primary objective of making Maharashtra a job creators\u2019 economy. In November, 2025 The Department of Industries, Energy and Labour (DIEL), Government of Maharashtra, in partnership with Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME), has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaboratively promote and strengthen micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Maharashtra.<\/span><\/p>

Key components of the partnership include formation of district-level strategic task forces and sector specific action groups to spearhead entrepreneurial growth as well as cohort-based business accelerator programs and targeted growth pilots. There will also be special support for green entrepreneurship and women\/youth entrepreneurs. In today\u2019s digital age, there will also be a focus on the modernization of district industrial centers with digital platforms. These aspects will be subject to joint monitoring and evaluation using agreed key performance indicators.<\/span><\/p>

The Government of Maharashtra will provide strategic leadership, facilitate policy support, and coordinate with multiple departments and agencies to enable a conducive environment for MSME growth. GAME will serve as a catalyst through secretariat support, bringing in expertise, market linkages, and capacity-building resources.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Industries Department of GoM, Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS) and Global Alliance for Entrepreneurship (GAME) have collaborated to implement the first phase of the mission with Nagpur as the pilot district. The Nagpur Entrepreneurship Mission (NEM) is focused on building deep local networks and stakeholders\u2019 trust through a joint action approach. NEM is undertaking several strategic initiatives designed to catalyze entrepreneurship, strengthen the MSME ecosystem, and promote inclusive, sustainable growth of enterprises in the first phase and later across the wider Vidarbha region.<\/span><\/p>

Led by our on-ground team at Nagpur, the groundwork involves identifying both ecosystem and industry champions, onboarding key stakeholders, and mapping local opportunities to spark entrepreneurship-led growth.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

A district task force of 12 senior entrepreneurs and influencers of Nagpur has been formed to create a shared vision for Nagpur\u2019s economic growth over a period of next 5 years. Following joint action sub-groups have also been formed basis the growth potential of the respective thematics with voluntary support of entrepreneurs, industry associations and educationals institutions:<\/span><\/p>
