Impact Delivered: In its earlier phase, SURE’s clean-energy distribution work in Maharashtra created livelihoods for 800+ women and reached over 100,000 rural households with products such as clean cookstoves, solar lanterns, and BoP appliances. Since 2024, it has built a network of 2,000+ Sakhis across 500 villages in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar, promoting solutions like solar dryers, solar refrigerators, and hydroponic fodder units, with a goal to train 5,000 women entrepreneurs and impact 500,000 households by 2030.

A Udaipur-based food processing company founded in 2017, building end-to-end value chains for underutilised minor forest produce (MFP) such as custard apple, jamun, amla, mahua, wood apple, and other wild fruits. Jovaki organises tribal women into groups, trains them—alongside partners like MPUAT and ICICI Foundation—in scientific harvesting, grading, and storage, operates village-level processing units for deseeding and pulping, and markets frozen and dried pulps and powders to B2B buyers and consumers under its own brand.

Impact Delivered: Jovaki employs around 150 tribal women at its processing plant and engages ~435 women fruit collectors across 12 villages in Udaipur district, directly linking 450+ women to the custard apple and jamun value chain. In a recent season, it processed ~20 tonnes of custard apple pulp and ~8 tonnes of jamun pulp, with a long-term vision to connect 100,000 tribal women and become India’s largest non-timber forest produce brand while improving incomes and strengthening forest conservation incentives.
